Description

The name says it all. Biohome Ultimate Media is the ultimate media for canister, HOB and sump filters.

Biohome Ultimate is identical to Mini with the addition of trace elements, including iron and maganese, to support beneficial bacteria growth. Bacteria growth in Ultimate is very fast to control ammonia and nitrite.

Complimentary Filter Starter Balls (1/4 bag per kg)  are shipped with each order to speed filter maturity. It recovers quickly after the use of medications.

Biohome allows both nitrifying (aerobic) and denitrifying (anaerobic) bacteria to grow on and through it’s unique structure. This allows it to also control nitrates. Check the Rules of Thumb for Nitrate Reduction to estimate how much you’ll need to reduce the nitrates in your pond or tank.

Ultimate Media is a biological filter media and good mechanical filtration must be provided to insure the water passing through it does not contain any debris that might clog it.

    I must say that there are so many opinions thru the social media regarding Fish Keeping, that all is confusing. I came across a video from Richard (pond guru), he is so an ambassador for the hobby. In that video he explains so clearly about aerobic, and anaerobic nitrospira bacteria. I don’t remember anyone talking about this thru any video. Then he introduced BioHome Ultimate media and how to apply it to your canister along with the mechanical media. Simple, bottom tray coarse, medium, fine foam pad. Next trays strictly Ultimate media, aprox 1.5- 2kg per each 26 gallons of water. Keep plastic balls before placing the bottom tray. It makes so much sense, the pond guru backs it up with his scientifically tank cycling explanation. I ordered 4kg of Ultimate media from Don, …order came with 14 starter balls (on my first 2kg order) and a letter of information and appreciation with my name on it. Replaced all media in my Sunsun 304b which supports an 75 gallon tank with Oscar and tank mates. By next morning the water was picture like clear. The fish were very very happy and actively swimming in their excellent clean water. I will never go back to the old days.     I am super happy with the service I received. packaged well, arrived in 2 days and most of all the instructions on adding to a existing set up filter 25% per week. the bio starter balls included. Its the little things that set great company’s apart from one another, and Great Wave is doing the little things well. I’m sure Don would succeed at whatever he would want to do. As far as the Biohome I will be putting in a tray full in the FX6 this weekend and have no worries at all. Richard (pond guru) is all the assurance I need to know I made The right decision.     Just came in today and I am very pleased. I ordered 4 kg and either I got a little extra or I didn’t need as much as the site said. Either way I am happy because I have plenty left over for another tank and my HOBs as well. Came with a full bag of starter balls. I have 2 canisters, fluval brands 206 & 306 and I have 1.8 kg left over. But like I said I will be starting another tank soonish and that should take out the rest of it and give me a little for my HOBs. Was thinking that it was gonna come in 4 separate 1kg bags, but it showed up as one 4kg bag instead. Will definitely send people to y’all as this was way cheaper than going through other sources (ie. Amazon) and trying to get it that way.

    Awesome stuff! I got a little extra in my order including some bio-balls for starting my filter ( as a bonus! ) REALLY HAPPY and I will be ordering more bio-home specifically from these folks. I searched all over the web and a competitor AM*Z*N was much MUCH more expensive! Best price yet and the freebies!
