Description

Biohome Mini  Media is a smaller version of the popular Biohome Ultra Media. It is designed for use in smaller trickle tower and shower filters, as well as canister filters.

1 kg occupies about 72 cu in. To see how much your filter requires click on, “How Much Do I Need“.

It has a  extremely porous structure. The media allows both nitrifying (aerobic) and denitrifying (anaerobic) bacteria to grow on and through it’s unique structure.

Complimentary Filter Starter Balls (1/4 Bag per Kilogram) are shipped with each order. The media recovers quickly after the use of medications.

Biohome allows both nitrifying (aerobic) and denitrifying (anaerobic) bacteria to grow on and through it’s unique structure. This allows it to also control nitrates. Check the Rules of Thumb for Nitrate Reduction to estimate how much you’ll need to reduce the nitrates in your pond or tank.

Biohome Mini Media is a biological filter media and good mechanical filtration must be provided to insure the water passing through it does not contain any debris that might clog it.

    I’ve been using this product for…. maybe six months now. everything reads zero and my tank is what many would deem overstocked. I have about 5 kg in my Fluval 306 probably a little less since I had to take some out a while back but it has eliminated my need to do big water changes every week. I do maybe a 5 to 10 gallon a week water change on my 55 gallon just for kicks and giggles and I have 24 cichlids in the tank right now. love this media and this will be the only bio media that I will use…. well unless something better comes around but this stuff would be tough to beat.
    Also best customer service ive ever had with any company of any sort!

    This biohome mini media is the very best media that i ever use and its a miracle when i check my water, its all zero… im so amaze and very happy.. all my fishes are very happy with the crystal clear clean water. Also thank you so much for fast shipping 🙂

    I have used two types of the media here from this website and I’m very happy, I have it now in my 40gal and a 55gal. Both of which had a easy time taking over the bio load. Replacing all bio filter when putting in the new media, I know dumb of me but I wanted to see if it works. And it does, I had to buy more because I upgraded my canister filter to a bigger one (more room lol, also for water circulation) but on my small ehime it did great. Now I’m about to set it up on my 20 gal aqua scape tank as well. I’m very happy with how things are going no ammonia or nitrite. And my nitrate is in check as well. I checked my water daily for about a 2 weeks and it does a great job of gaining the bacteria with the bio balls provided. Now it’s been running about a month and it’s doing as promised. I’d definitely recommend and buy again. My other bio media I had that came with my filters was not keeping up with my tanks either. I still have the other stuff but don’t know what to do with all of it because of lost faith in the other stuff I won’t name brands. But I won’t buy other media for my tanks unless it is from here. Oh ya you get a nice letter to explaining things too with your media, and it is fast shipping. Thank you for having a great product and being very friendly.
