Description

Biohome Mini  Media is a smaller version of the popular Biohome Ultra Media. It is designed for use in smaller trickle tower and shower filters, as well as canister filters.

1 kg occupies about 72 cu in. To see how much your filter requires click on, “How Much Do I Need“.

It has a  extremely porous structure. The media allows both nitrifying (aerobic) and denitrifying (anaerobic) bacteria to grow on and through it’s unique structure.

Complimentary Filter Starter Balls (1/4 Bag per Kilogram) are shipped with each order. The media recovers quickly after the use of medications.

Biohome allows both nitrifying (aerobic) and denitrifying (anaerobic) bacteria to grow on and through it’s unique structure. This allows it to also control nitrates. Check the Rules of Thumb for Nitrate Reduction to estimate how much you’ll need to reduce the nitrates in your pond or tank.

Biohome Mini Media is a biological filter media and good mechanical filtration must be provided to insure the water passing through it does not contain any debris that might clog it.

    I was actually given enough Biohome Ultra Mini to fill my two HOB’s on one of my 75 Gallon tanks, from a good friend of mine. For some reason, this tank in particular was always a headache…almost impossible to control water parameters. Did everything as I did with the others, just never really cycled the way it should have.
    Well, that was taken care of with Biohome. It was actually so amazing, the turn around of the tank…that I had to have more. Didn’t really know how much to purchase, or how GreatWave was…so I gave it a shot. I will actually need more of the product…and will not hesitate in the least to make many more purchases. Not too many companies that go out of their way for customer satisfaction these days. Well, I can tell you…from the letter thanking me, to the directions enclosed…there is none better at taking care of the customer.
    You have earned a customer for life…thanks for everything.

    Wow, shipping was fast and arrived intact, thank you and product info letters was a nice touch too! will be ordering more media for my other filters as well. ordered 500 G of mini media as a test and it filled up 2/3 of a Fluval 304 basket with three layers of Swiss Tropicals aquarium foam in 30mm, 20mm, and 10mm pore size to precede media basket.

    this is the ultimate biological filter medium..this company is the best to do with..i had a question and emailed them and had an answer the same day….I am very pleased with the product and will recommend this to every one I know….beats seachem matrix which is nothing but a bucket of rocks…they even gave me free biological balls to seed my filter….awesome company!!!!

    had it for 2 weeks now and i see the fish are swimming alot more better and water is cleaner. i will definately buy some more but i need to find the fine filter foam first. its a good product for your fish if you set it up right.

    I first saw the Bio home media watching the Pond Guru. Finally stumbled onto a site and found out we have a place in US to buy it! I was so excited I ordered it the same day. I live in Oklahoma and was surprised how fast it arrived from California. I have 2 fluval 306’s running on my 55 gallon and 2 aqua clear 70 HOB filters. I added bio home to one tray in each of my canister filters and the next time I clean them I plan to replace old ceramic rings with the rest of the b-home. If this stuff works like I think it will I also plan to order more for both my HOB filters! I’m also hoping soon great wave will start selling all 3 filter sponges that the Pond Guru sells!! hint hint. Great service ……… great product!

      Thanks for the comment. I think you’ll be pleased with the results. Hang in there. I have several sets of Foam Filters out for evaluation. As soon as I find out if they are effective, I’ll have them on the site.
