A report from a customer of Ultimate and Mini media, Benjamin Flemming, provided detailed information.

“Just thought I would let you know that I have put the media into the API XP-XL. I used all of the three kg and then added the remaining 1 kg I had from my last order, plus perhaps another 1/2 kg or so of Fluval media that I had. I filled three of the four media trays full of media and the bottom one I filled with coarse and medium foam media. This means that each of the three trays I filled uses about 1.5 kgs. For a total of about 4.5 kgs (9-10 pounds). “
